Our Vision
CDF National Limited, formerly CD Fisher Limited, was founded in 1957. Richard Fisher assumed the role of manager in 2003 with a vision of the family business becoming the premier Canterbury commercial and educational contractor.
Pursuing this vision has required the setting of new standards of professionalism, reliability and performance for the industry. Attainment of these new standards has seen the company's reputation and customer base expand to the extent it is now the preferred provider for several large national corporates.
In 2006 the company name was changed to CDF National. This change reflects increasing numbers of requests to carry out work nation wide and the desire of the company to expand. CDF National will continue to be the industry leader, continually raising standards in the New Zealand painting industry.
Our Philosophy of Continuing Improvement
"Our commitment to our clients has been the driving force behind the development of our company into a successful influence in the painting industry."
The success of CDF National is based on a philosophy of continual improvement with a view to maintaining the company's leadership position. Key elements of this philosophy are:
commitment to a superior service culture
developing, maintaining and valuing lasting client
relationships
providing a top quality job.
Our Mission Statement
- Provide complete customer satisfaction and exceed clients expectations.
- Commit to maintain leadership and influence in the painting industry.
- Promote a high level of service combined with the highest level of workmanship and integrity.
Staff Maintain Our Leadership
CDF National's most important resource is the band of people who transform its vision of excellence into reality: the staff. A large, loyal and experienced team of tradespeople, apprentices, site foremen, project managers, salespeople, estimators and administrators, they have all made a contribution to the ongoing success of the company.
CDF National ensures that all staff are aware of, and trained in, best business practice, a philosophy that recognises that every staff member has an important role to play in maintaining the company's industry leadership.
Health & Safety Paramount
CDF National has, considering the nature of its business, a proud safety record but is not content to rest on its laurels. The company has a dedicated Health & Safety Manager charged with remaining current with all relevant legislation and continually monitoring the company's performance in this vital area to ensure full compliance. The company is regularly required to work in environments which require comprehensive Health & Safety programmes and so provides up-to-date staff education and training in such specialised areas as materials handling and working at heights.
Professional Project Management
Your CDF National project receives the full attention of one of the company’s Project
Managers, from quoting to completion. They are also responsible for implementing
the company’s three-stage Quality Control Programme:
- the site is checked prior to commencement of work to identify any repair
work required
- the preparation work is checked prior to painting
- the finished work is thoroughly inspected with you to ensure your complete
satisfaction; this stage may also include additional independent checks by our
paint suppliers.
The Project Manager will also monitor progress for adherence to schedule and
regularly report to you. Weather can sometimes hamper painting progress but you
will be kept fully informed at all times.
Quality Suppliers
CDF National purchases only from suppliers with a track record of supplying quality products. Just as CDF National stands behind its service, so it deals only with suppliers who are confident in standing behind theirs. This sees the company enjoying excellent relationships with leading suppliers of not just paint but of all the products required to deliver a comprehensive paint application and maintenance service.
